Mr Kennedy was no stranger to politics taking that his father was a successful businessman as well as a chairman of the securities and exchange commision. Joining the navy in 1941 inspired him into politics first preparing to run as a congressman. John went on to find love and married Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on September 12, 1953. They eventually had four children Caroline, john jr, Arabella and Patrick Kennedy.
