Journal 4 “Everyone gets a miracle” (Green 1). Even Quentin or Q got his miracle when Margo Roth Spigelman moved across the street from him. Margo was adventurous and quite mysterious. When she got done with one adventure she was busy planning another. One of the three most important parts of the book was when she included Q into one of her infallible plans. Margo loved her adventures, but she loved her mysteries even more so. She even loved mysterious just enough that “she became one” (Green 8). The book Paper Towns is by a new coming author called John Green. I am currently done with this book and I will be describing the top three most important moments in the book. She had quite an extreme night planned out for them. First they needed to get supplies that would be needed to play some revenge pranks on her friends. They embarked on the adventure with going to the grocery store with some repulsive grocery items. The grocery list included “3 whole Catfish (wrapped separately), Veet (It’s for Shaving your legs Only you don’t Need a razor), Vaseline, six-pack of Mountain Dew, One Dozen Tulips, one Bottle Of water, Tissues, and one Can of blue Spray paint” (Green 32). When arriving at her friend’s house, Margo knew exactly what the plan was. It began with calling her friends parents and getting them to go into her room. Would she talk to him? Or would she just act like what happened last night didn’t happen? Unfortunately, for Q she never showed up, but that wasn’t unusual for Margo, so he just waited and waited and waited. Was she ever going to come back? Well Q got his answer when a detective announced that Margo became her very own mystery. Nobody knew where she was or even that she was going. All her parents did was put new locks on their doors to keep her out. They only helpful words they spoke of is that “She is known to leave a bit of a bread crumb trail” (Green 102). Before Margo would leave for an adventure she would leave clues that would give away where she had gone. It took a couple days to discover if Margo had left any clues or not. The clue that started it all eventually showed itself. The first clue was a poster of Woody Guthrie. From Woody Guthrie it led them towards a book with highlighted lines that read, “Unscrew the locks from the doors. Unscrew the doors themselves from their jams” (Green 116). Ponder over the words didn’t last that long. Q grabbed a screwdriver and unhooked Margo’s bedroom door from its hinges. Nevertheless, nothing fell from the doors hinges. What else could the clue possible mean? What other doors could she mean? Margo left the clue in the window for only him to see and only he was meant to find the book. Possibly, she left the next clue in his door hinges. As a
