John Locke was a great person and overall genius when it came to medical science or philosophical teachings in general. John Locke was born on August 29th, 1632 in the town of Wrington, Somerset, England. However he had many good things that he had accomplished during his lifetime. To begin with his father had connections with the English government which he had used to provide his son with an excellent education. Locke had attended the Westminster School in London where he had received the honor of being recognized as a King’s Scholar which had only gone to a select few that had performed extremely well in their studies. Furthermore, he had also met Lord Ashley early on in his medical studies which he soon became close friends with and was the personal physician of Shaftsbury for then he had moved to London and as the responsibilities of Shaftsbury grew so did the responsibilities of Locke as well. Then when Shaftsbury was made Chancellor Locke had moved up to become his secretary of presentations. Locke’s political career had a large influence on groups that were created partly because of him such as the Whig party which had sought out constitutional monarchism and had opposed of Tories. Shaftsbury how ever influenced his political views and that had never changed for Locke. The English government had implemented Locke’s ideas of the natural rights of man and that a social contract is a good way for people to make rules that they will agree on and will actually follow. However, England had fell onto the verge of revolution and Locke had become a target of the English government and had two assassination attempts against him and had one of which had been from his own brother, this incident was known as the Rye House
