Incumbent Governor Mark Parkinson, a former Republican who switched to the Democratic Party, had assumed office when the previous Governor Kathleen Sebelius was sworn in as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Barack Obama. Governor Parkinson declined to seek election, even though he had labored to get a stimulus package from the federal government for Kansas. United States Senator Sam Brownback, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2008, emerged as the Republican nominee, facing off against Democratic State Senator Tom Holland, who was unopposed for his party's nomination.
George Walnut was born March, 13, 1762 in doodletown New York. His parents names were Agatha and Pavel both were immigrants from Holland. He grew up on a farm in New York not far from New Hampshire. He stopped using his first name because he thought Grover sounded more important than Steven. Grover’s father was a minister and taught him religious studies. For my self-trip I went to the Abraham Clark historical house. The Clark house is located in Roselle, NJ on 9th Avenue. Who is Abraham Clark? Well I didn’t know the answer to this question until today. Abraham Clark is New Jersey’s delegate for the Continental Congress.

His hero was characterized as a strong man who, unintentionally, led the expansion west through his desire to separate himself from the civilized world. Along the way, this man became best friends with a Native American because he could recognize the same manliness in this man as he saw in himself.
When Patrick and Mary Cushing had their baby boy Richard on the 24th day of August in 1895, the Irish Immigrants probably didn’t expect him to become a difference maker in the Roman Catholic Church. They especially didn’t expect their baby boy to officiate the marriage of the future president of the United States. The Cushing family who once lived in Ireland soon moved their lives and lived in the South Side of Boston. Mike Keats was a really nice, brave and intelligent person. Although Mike Keats was a great man and a great hockey player he reacted so much on his temper, so he always used to go to the penalty box as a punishment while playing hockey. Mike was traded so many times to different teams and got drafted on their teams but Mike had a Native American teammate, which than became his friend Dakota. Dakota had a good talent at that time to help Mike when he needed it. Unfortunately there was once something really mysterious that Mike wouldn’t tell anyone.

Although both documents have the comparison of discussing slavery, the letter and newspaper have contrasts in the terms of who is pro-slavery and anti-slavery. The “Letter to John Greenleaf Whittier” is a letter written by Lydia Maria Child to John Greenleaf Whittier, a poet and a massachusetts abolitionist who urged the Lincoln administration for a more conclusive action against slavery. Eisenhower also demonstrated two of Kotter’s change model stages by creating the guiding coalition and empowering broad-based action while implementing his vision. Eisenhower’s relentless opposition from Prime Minister Churchill and his team over the Transportation Plan demonstrated his ability to identify and manage the external environment. It also demonstrated his ability to implement a vision using Kotter’s stages in the change model.
