John Proctor, a character from the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller, is aggressive, caring, and brave. We can see that Proctor is aggressive because in act III he tells Mary Warren, “I’ll whip the Devil out of you!” This is not the first time we have seen Proctor threating to whip somebody we also see it later inside of act III when he threatens to whip the girls when they start lying inside of court. This demonstrates Proctor’s aggressiveness towards other people. The reader can see that Proctor is caring when he goes to the court and says, “….
