John Tuzo Wilson was born on october 24, 1908 in Ottawa, Ontario. He is the oldest of three children. he was the first person to graduate with a degree in geophysical studies at a canadian college. In 1946 he became a professor of geophysics at the university of toronto. He made a huge contribution to the plate tectonics theory. He also made contributions to sea floor spreading. John Tuzo Wilson researched plate tectonics and was an important role in many theories. John wilson was expected to study, work in the garden and walk to and from school everyday.
