Events of 1980 Do you like history? If so you will like this paper that I have written here. This paper is about 3 events from 1980.They are all different. One is about sports and the medals they earned. Another one is about a murderer and why he got sentenced to death.. The last one is about a presidential election and how it helped america. The year 1980 was known for many different events, music, and fashion The year 1980 is known for many different events, music, and fashion. One event that happened in 1980 was the killer clown outbreak. “John Wayne Gacey Jr. was the clowns name sentenced to death at age of 51, on May 10, 1994. According to The People History, John Wayne Gacy got sentenced to death at age 51. Since he committed a huge crime the families were glad he got sentenced to death. Since he killed all these kids and young boys, he was sentenced to death. “He murdered 33 boys and young men” between 1972 and 1978 (The People History). After all those years and john getting sentenced to death the families are at peace. This may not be very impactful in many people’s life, but police and other people that it affects, take it seriously. The killer clown outbreak was only one of the many events that happened in 1980.
