Compare (similar) and contrast (different) Johnny and Dally what roles do they play in the novel?

Johnny ad Dally are about as different as any two people can get. Even though they are apart of the same group ‘The Greasers’ they are considered very different. They played very different roles in the novel and there are almost no similarities between them but many differences.

If we are looking at the contrasts between them you can notice that Dally is a tough guy would doesn’t really care about anything, but Johnny is a delicate and quite guy. He is very fragile, his is because he was jumped badly but a social gang called the ‘Socs’ who scarred him for life but also because of how bad his life is at home. He can stay away from home for long periods of time and they wouldn’t seem to care or even notice. Johnny is the one in the gang (The Greasers) that everyone looks out for and that keeps everyone to get along with each other but meanwhile, Dally was the meanest and toughest guy in the gang and the one needs the least amount of attention. They both had family issues; when Johnny’s parents aren’t physically or verbally abusing him they are just ignoring him, and for Dally the gang (The Greasers) were as close to family as he got. They both care about each other. They are both extremely loyal both of them would do anything to help out a friend; although Johnny seemed very quite he saved his friend (Ponyboy) from getting killed by the socs, and when the kids were in the church fire he put his life in risk to save them and with Dally helped Johnny and Ponyboy get out of town when they were in trouble. They both hated the social group called the ‘Socs’ and lastly they both
