Johnson & Johnson is the world’s sixth largest consumer’s health and biologics company. It has the most comprehensive medical devices business, and it’s the fifth largest pharmaceuticals company. The company was founded by three brothers; Robert Wood Johnson, James Wood Johnson, and Edward Mead Johnson in 1886. In 1888 Johnson and Johnson introduced the very first; first aid kit which soon became the standard in treating injuries before that it was only designed for railroad workers. Johnson & Johnson donated products and money to help citizens of San Francisco after the earthquake in 1906. They donated the largest amount of any organization. The company started to expand from 1924, first into the United Kingdom than from 1930 to 1931 they expanded to Mexico and South Africa and Australia and much more in the future. In mid-1980’s it was approved as an over the counter drug, as a pain reliever and fever reducer (Motrin, n.d.). Johnson and Johnson want their customers to get out of the pain as fast as possible. If you notice, most dentist when you get your teeth work done and they think you would need a painkiller Motrin is the one they would mostly suggest personal experience. Why is that? Per an article on DifferenceBetween.net, Motrin acts faster than Advil thought it is the same product but a different brand (the difference between, n.d.). Motrin is also cheaper than Advil. In Walmart Motrin 200MG with 225 count bottle is for $11.66 (walmart, n.d.) and on the other hand Advil is $13.94 (walmart, n.d.) which has 25 pills less than Motrin. That is $2.28 difference.
