Introduction:
The Joker, a DC comics supervillain, has been a beloved character throughout his acting career. He is primarily based in Gotham City and is known as the arch-enemy of Batman, the city's hero. The Joker is recognized for his self-centered personality, unpredictability, and infamous laughter, not to mention his colored face. Despite the different depictions of the Joker in various shows, one thing remains consistent: his complete disregard for society's norms. This paper aims to diagnose the Joker with Antisocial Personality Disorder, commonly known as psychopathy, based on his behavior and through the DSM-5 criteria.

Based on the DSM-5 criteria, his disregard for human life and societal norms, deceitful behavior, impulsivity, lack of remorse, and irresponsibility all point towards a diagnosis of Antisocial Personality Disorder. Additionally, the Joker's behaviors align with the four D's of abnormal psychology, which are deviancy, distress, danger, and dysfunctionality. His love for chaos and destruction, coupled with his inability to conform to societal norms, further support this diagnosis. Treatment for such a disorder is challenging, but cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, and medication management can help reduce symptoms and improve the individual's quality of life.
