The Battle of Antietam is viewed as the bloodiest day ever, with more than 23,000 warriors injured, killed, or missing. The Battle of Antietam occurred close Antietam Creek in Sharpsburg, Maryland. The fight was battled on September 17 1862. A large portion of the war had been battled in Virginia, as of right now.
On a warm day in New York City in 1911, tragedy struck. It was an incident that would be written up in newspapers across the country; a horrendous incident that would change legislature, labor laws and hundreds of lives forever. This dreadful event left nearly 150 girls and women dead, and became one of the most murderous fires in the history of New York City. The day was March 26, 1911, and the fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory was an historic one.

The real tragedy of My Lai represents an entire system of willful negligence and lack of accountability on the part of the military. The massacre started as an allegation a white woman, named Fannie Coleman Taylor, was raped by a black man. This led Fannie Taylor’s husband to assemble a bunch of white men to catch who they thought to be the attacker, an alleged escaped convict, Jesse Hunter. Fannie Taylor’s husband, James Taylor, assembled people from a near Ku Klux Klan gathering to come to Rosewood where it was said that he’d been hiding by the help of Samuel Carter.
