You must have an inspiration or role model. My role model in dance is Misty Copeland. Misty Copeland is the very first African-American ballet dancer. She is an amazing dancer! Ballet is one of my favorite genres in dance. Misty Copeland has been doing Pointe since she was 12 years old! (Point is is basically an upgrade from ballet. It’s where you stand on the very tip/ball of your toe on a cushion and a block of wood. A lot of people doubted her growing up. They told her she had the wrong turn out in her legs, and she was too old to be considered. Usually, when you’re in ballet, you start as young as 5 to 6 years old. (Misty started at 12) So, if you start older than that… people won’t take you seriously! I started Ballet when I was 5 years old, then I quit because my mom told me I looked bored. (I probably was since I was so young, and full of energy.) But, now that I’m older I love Ballet. My favorite combinations are 2 a shape plus 2 shushma, I also like tondu plus ron de john, land in back 4th position plus pose turn on releve. I also like Hip-Hop, Tap, and
