Josh Powell person of interest, Mr. Powell got custody of the two children, Josh's father stayed with Mr. Powell, Steven Powell was arrested on charges of voyeurism and child pornography in 2011, 2011 Susan's parents were granted custody of the boys, Josh ordered to undergo psychological testing and polygraph testing, Powell let boys in locked CPS worker out, CPS worker smelled gas.
Now that I have all the notes I need I can now proceed to investigate the fire. Based on the four stages of fire I have found that incipient stage just made the duration of the fire spread more than a fraction it speed very quickly due to the product that was used. Closely looking at this arson from Mr. Powell it seems as if he intentionally set the fire due to not being able to have custody of his two children and that he’s been planning to do the arson from sometime. This arson was not no mistake nor was it undetermined it has been determined that Mr. Powell has set this fire to kill all three of them as Mr. Powell couldn’t live without his children nor was this ruled out an accident. This type of fire/ arson was intentionally set due to all the family issues that he was currently having with the courts as well as with the custody battle of his children. After closely looking over the arson there was two gas cans that have been found one for lighting the fire the other found near the bodies that was located in the central part of the house. All the evidence was proven that he intentionally did do the arson. He importance of the motive as a forensic technologist would be to first photograph everything that would be of evidence and mark it as well as locate anything that is needed to evaluate the arson such as what and why.
