As I prepare myself for the adult world, many ideas and decisions come into my thoughts about my future. Because of my personal drive I see myself doing great things. I see myself on a phenomenal adventure called life. I know my potential. I know I can excel at whatever I put my mind to do. I know that the strong family foundation my parents have given me is going to enhance my learning and abilities as an adult. I hope that all that I have learned thus far will lead me in the direction I will need to take for my personal achievements. This program has helped me in many ways. I have learned how to develop myself as a young leader and to be a responsible citizen with respect for constituted authority. Throughout the years I have been in this program I have gone by three core values that ROTC has. These core values are Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Honor, this is the base of our character; having honor is to never lie, cheat, or steal. Courage, to have the mental, moral, and physical strength to carry my subordinates. Commitment, having the determination and dedication to excellence that leads me to a more skillful performance. I have been a commander for the freshmen and the unarmed drill team. I always made sure to set the example for them. I lead from the front and by lying, cheating, or stealing is not something I do and I make sure my cadets don’t do that. Being in this program has given me many great opportunities. In the summer I attended a summer camp in the university in College Station, Texas. I learned many new things and with all of this new knowledge I was able to come back and teach my cadets on the drill team and in other
