The play “the tragedy of Julius Caesar” written by William shakespeare is about Julius Caesar who is about to become king of rome and a group of conspirators consisting out of Brutus, Cassius and others. Who are planning on killing Caesar. Brutus didn’t want to join the conspiracy but cassius talked him into it. All of them kill for different motives.
The most conflicting speech in the play "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar¨ is the speech that Decius gives to Caesar. This speech comes up when Calpurina, Caesar´s wife, has a dream that Ceaser gets murdered at the senate. She tries to keep him home by explaining how morbid her dream is, but Decius is in charge of getting him to the Senate so he and the other conspirators can murder him there. Calpurnia convinces Caesar to stay at home, so Decius has to give a speech that will get Ceaser to the senate. While Calpurnia has the correct interpretation of her dream, Desius uses persuasive techniques to persuade Caesar to go to the SenateMany persuasive techniques were used but the most persuasive ones were rebuttals and tabloid thinking.
Throughout the play, Caesar’s suspicions have been aroused as he interacts with his fellow council members. A multitude of commodities foreshadow his future and motivates those around Caesar to overthrow him. A murder of the emperor of the people divulges truth to Caesar’s suspicions. This event couldn’t be described as a sacrifice, but instead a barbarous butchery. Would a sacrifice require betrayal and emotions of resentment or would a butchery be a more fitting label of the scene?
Charisma could be the very reason why so many leaders are effective in their field. Some may think it was because of their connections or money but ultimately the reason they have connections is because of their ability to persuade others to help them. Many effective leaders were very charismatic which helped them persuade others to help them and helped them gain the favor from others; those without it would typically fail in fulfilling their role as a leader. Mark Antony with just a few words reminded the people of how virtuous Caesar was. He did this by bringing up past actions of Caesar.
The Roman Republic slowly went downhill because of a parasite eating away at its core. The core slowly was destroyed by Marius when he allowed volunteers in the army. The core was constantly buffeted by the inequality between the patricians and the plebians, and the class war that it caused. The core was shattering from the political violence and squabbling in the Senate. Culminating in the assassination of Julius Caesar, the Fall of the Roman Republic could be seen from a mile away, and the key reason behind it was the virtues held by the Roman people.

Throughout Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, It is evident that Brutus is a hero but has made choices to look like a villain. The citizens of Rome have extreme feelings about Brutus, even though he disrupted the social order and killed the ruler they still have some respect for him. Actions that are made can change the perspective and feelings readers have for a character. Brutus has had some questionable downfalls that make him look like he is the villain but he made a mistake that he can't take back.
The tyranny of Julius Caesar started when he was appointed special commander by the Senate. They did not know at the time, but this was a big mistake because such position would only lead to his conquering of Rome. Julius Caesar was a dictator in the Roman Republic who not only broke constitutional laws but also disregarded Roman morals. He saw a broken system and thought that the only way to fix what the Republic had done to the people of Rome was to rule himself. He was popularis (Frankforter, pg. 148) in the pursuit of freedom for the poor.

In this tragedy there are two characters that could be considered a tragic hero, either Brutus or Caesar. A tragic hero is a noble character who experiences a fatal fall that eventually leads to their downfall.
Gaius Julius Caesar might have been best known as being one of the greatest war heroes of all time. Even before the Roman civil wars, Caesar had full knowledge of his military strength as when he was caught by Cilician Pirates in 75 B.C.E. well before the civil wars broke out, he actually demanded more for his ransom than the pirates had initially offered (Seager n.pg). The pirates had wanted only twenty talents for his ransom, while Caesar had volunteered to pay fifty talents (Seager n.pg). During the civil wars, Rome was dealing with a lacking government (Cook 138). From the governments lacking role in Rome, the power went from the senate and consuls to the wealthy and the military strong (Cook 138).
My fellow Senators, I stand here today to tell you that I have decided to let Julius Caesar live. I make this decision with no regrets, as he is extremely successful in battle, many in Rome love him, and he is loyal. Do you not remember how successful Caesar always is? He has marched us through many victories. Do you not remember how, when winning us countries, he lost only 2 battles in 9 years?
There are a plethora of points of view in Acts IV and V of Julius Caesar, to show the different plots intertwining during these acts. During the play, there is no single, sustained point of view, but during Acts IV and V, the point of view shifts between Brutus, Cassius, and Antony and Octavius. This adds to the central theme, because each point of view changes whether the speakers fought for ambition and power, or for honor. Brutus makes his intentions clear, that he is fighting for honor, and to make sure Caesar was not killed in vain, that his death is for a purpose. Cassius is fighting for power, and his hatred for Caesar is the reason why he went through with his murder.
Caesar and I share quite a few characteristics. We are both strong-willed and stubborn, and we can both be very commanding. Another characteristic Caesar and I both share is the fact that we have very few true friends, friends tat will never leave you and always have your back. While a vast amount of our personality are similar, Caesar and I have different political views. I believe in the power of democracy, and Caesar believes in a dictatorship where he is in charge.

The one who through his military genius, expanded the Roman Republic to include parts of what are now Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium. Although the hero had many followers and admirers, he was ultimately stabbed to death by his own fellow politicians. Caesar was born in July, 100 B.C.E to Gaius Caesar and Aurelia. The family claimed a noble history but hadn’t produced many influential people till then.
