Jumin's Last Dance-Personal Narrative

Admittedly, it had been a long day for the seven-year-old. In between tutoring and etiquette classes, as well as going to the final dance class he would ever attend, the last thing he wanted to do was to be pushed to his limit by his figure skating coach. Jumin had pleaded with both his father, as well as his father's latest girlfriend, to allow him to go practice on his own instead of being taught the same routines and moves that he has already mastered. After a reluctant yes -- mostly from his father's girlfriend -- the boy found himself at one of the public skating rinks. A small place that was full of smiling faces and cheerful laughter. With a shake of his head, he pushes the thought out of his mind as he prepares himself to get out onto the ice. And once he is out there, he maneuvers around with grace and ease. When he was first placed onto the ice a few years ago, it was easy for those to see that he just had a knack for it. Yes, he had his moments where he would lose his footing and slip, but he would get right back up again and continue on. When it came down to learning moves, and eventually routines, he was driven to learn them properly -- perfectly. Which encouraged others to push him all the more. To prep and train him to become the sort of figure skater that his father's girlfriend was. Her legacy would live on in Jumin, in a sense. In turn, it would also make his father and his name look good. It was something that the child knew he had to do. The last thing he ever wanted to do was disappoint his father. With this thought in mind, he continues to skate gracefully along the ice, being mindful of the others who are also there for one reason or another. He figures it's more for fun rather than the reasons he was
