The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie is a novel that is very debatable. Junior, because of his birth-condition,he suffers from physically to mentally. The other Native Americans teenagers always bully him. The debatable. However, there are only a few people impact his life and is important role. Mr. P is Junior teacher. He opened Junior’s eyes to see poverty. He told Junior to leave the “rez”, and push him to go to the real world. He is the first role model for Junior.Mr. P visit him, even after he got hit by Junior’s book. He told him to image what would happen to him and his life if he kept on stay in the reservation. He also tells Junior to move to another school far away from Wellpinit and Junior choose Reardan. And at that moment, Junior shows the reader about his crazy yet bravery about escaping the reservation to move in the white world. With the will to hold his future, Junior leaves the school of the rez to attend an all-white farm town high school. Junior would not leave Wellpinit if Junior did not have Mr. P give him an advice and explain for him. In this story, Mr.P not only his geometry teacher he also Junior’s friend.
