The fourth movie of The Jurassic Park franchise takes place two decades after the preceding installment’s setting. Here, dinosaurs have become a rather common sight, having been available for viewing for decades. Geneticists then, instead of simply cloning more of the species the park had, decide to make a new attraction, something new and fresh to their collection – something with “more teeth”. The Indominus rex or the “Fierce or Untamable King” was created through gene splicing from different dinosaur and other animal species. This carnivorous giant is a hybrid of Gigantosaurus, Majungasaurus, Carnotaurus, Rugops, Therizinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, cuttlefish, tree frog, pit viper, and other unspecified present-day animals. The I.rex is deemed to be superior over other dinosaur species, having taken among the most impressive traits of its parent animals. Its agility and power resembles that of the T.rex, as the Tyrannosaurus is the Indominus’ base framework. Its size (above 40ft) is magnified through the trait of the Gigantosaurus, its increased number of teeth from the Majungasaurus, its osteoderms from the Rugops, and its hornlike growths from the eyes to its back from the Carnotaurus.
