In the film Jurassic park directed by Steven Spielberg there is an important character called Alan Grant. Jurassic park tells a story about a rich man, John Hammond who was dedicated to open a park with dinosaurs, using DNA. But everything goes horribly wrong ... Alan Grant is an important character because of the following scenes. When he was at the digging site; with the children, going into the electric car and when he and the children were lost in the jungle running away from the T-Rex. We were first introduced to the important character Alan Grant with an overhead shot of a dinosaur skeleton, showing us he was in the desert digging up the dinosaur skeleton. The costume of Alan grant wearing a cowboy style hat and hiking pants with a long sleeve top tucked in and a leather belt, showed that Alan Grant was a Palaeontologist who digs up dinosaur bones for a living. Alan Grant is fascinated by dinosaurs and hates technology. The digging site shows that technology's not Alan's best friend. The close up shot of Dr Ellie Sattler saying " Doctor Grants not machine compatible" explains that technology is not his thing, and prefers dig up bones rather than look at them from a computer. …show more content…

The body language of Alan showing that he is not happy with what Tim said to him. Kids were not a priority for Alan and he thought they were lazy, stinky and annoying and that's what he thought about Tim (annoying). If the wide shot of Alan Grant talking to Tim and the body language of Alan was not used we would not know what the actor was trying to achieve.
