The Most Interesting Times of the 1990s
Some interesting facts about the 1990’s begin with one of the greatest movies, Jurassic Park. When the movie was made it grossed a total of three hundred and fifty million dollars. In 1994 lead singer/guitarist for Nirvana, Kurt Cobain committed suicide. This was a tragedy for the people in 1994. Kurt Cobain was a very well know many and his loss affected everyone. We also have the top 5 cars of the 1990’s. There was the Hummer H1, the Ferrari F50, the Lamborghini Diablo, the McLaren F1, and the Ford Escort RS Cosworth. In the early 1990’s the box office just released its new movie, Jurassic Park. The movie was very popular and made the box office millions. We start off with the Hummer H1 - with the original engine, the hummer could go anywhere, just not quickly; 0-60 mph took over 20 seconds, next is the Ferrari F50 - The F50 was Ferrari’s 50th anniversary present to itself, then the Lamborghini Diablo - Like most Lambos it was named after a famed fighting bull from Spain, next is the McLaren F1 - To aid in heat dispersal, the engine bay is lined in 24k gold, and finally there’s the Ford Escort RS Cosworth - The first road car to produce downforce both in front and in back. All of these cars were very expensive and very popular. In the 90’s, the people who had these cars were either really rich, really lucky, or they stole it. At this time in life, cars were the most dependable transportation. It was also faster and more reliable. It helped with far traveling and dangerous paths. Kurt Cobain made a huge impact on everyone. Especially the people in his family and his close friends and co-workers. It’s very tragic when a family lose someone to suicide because suicide isn’t a joke and it is to be taken very seriously. And then we also have the million dollar movie, Jurassic Park. The movie itself was great. The graphics of the movie were very realistic and it got hundreds of millions of views around the world. There was also all 5 of the greatest cars of the 1990’s. Some of the cars from the 1990’s were very fast and very strong. They had good durability and some had good traits and details to make the cars better. There is also the death of Frank Sinatra that made an impact on people in 1998, right at the end of this eventful decade. Frank had a heart attack at the age of 82 years old, and his final curtain was on May 14, 1998. Frank made a lot of good music and his voice was very calming. Many people like Frank Sinatra for the music he made, but his family and friends were very devastated when he had a heart attack. It’s not easy to lose someone in the family or as a friend. The 1990’s was a very eventful year. People made millions of dollars off of a movie, someone paid someone a million dollars to sleep with a woman, there were two tragic deaths and a lot of nice cars and Michael Jackson told the world about his secret plastic surgeries. All of these people have made
