In our society, not only are adults committing crimes, it is now juveniles more than ever. To think about it, it is sad that more and more kids are performing such violent acts. For years now there has been a debate on whether or not juveniles now should be tried as adults for committing violent crimes. For me, I think no matter a person's age if they commit an awful crime, they should be tried as an adult. It teaches them accountability, they get what they deserve, and they are mentally mature if they do such an awful thing.
To begin with, being in that specific situation shows and teaches them accountability. That they cannot do whatever they want and get away with it. For example, if a kid goes and commits armed robbery, gets caught and charged, that shows him that he can not get away with it, and that it is wrong. Many people who disagree with this think they are too. Although, if they think they are old enough to do whatever crime they did, they are certainly old enough to take accountability for their actions. It shows them that their actions have consequences. For instance, some people go into doing bad things expecting nothing bad to happen. However, punishing them makes them stronger and sees that not everything is fair in life. Some kids are raised thinking I can do and say whatever they want. Which leads them to be bad people choosing to make bad mistakes not used to getting in trouble, dealing with the consequences. I also in some situations him and their families will treat people terribly. They will treat the judges, lawyers, the jury, or whoever awful for no reason at all.
