BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY Kakanin is common delicacy among Filipinos. The word kakanin is derived from two Tagalog words “kain” means to eat and “kanin” which means rice that was the main ingredient of the product. One such delicacy is the sinukmani, a Filipino rice cake made from glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, and brown sugar. Traditionally, this delicious rice cake is placed over banana leaves in a bilao and garnished with latik on top. Other variations of sinukmani will have custard like topping or “matamis na bao” (caramel like topping) instead of latik.
Sinukmani is a special delicacy. It is best eaten as a merienda, each slice on a piece of banana leaf, and served with a strong cup of kapeng barako. Or it can also be taken as a desert to top a rich meal during fiestas and other festivities.

PRODUCT STORAGE
The finished product would be kept inside a glass cabinet to maintain the cleanliness of the product. It can be also stored inside the refrigerator to maintain the freshness of the product.
PACKAGING OF THE PRODUCT
The S.I Choco-Sinukmani will be placed in a bilao for orders and to the product that is selling per piece it will be packed in a plastic with a base of banana leaves for convenient way of serving the product. And for pasalubong, it will be distributed in plastic boxes. The packaging has a label including the name of the product, the firm and the contact numbers.
PLACE STRATEGY
The plant location shall be located at Lake View Subdivision, Barangay Concepcion, San Pablo City. As a home-based made product, the plant location will also serve as the business office area which will cater to business related transactions or they can transact through land line and
