Martin Luther King also demonstrated leadership ability when he also put his well-being on the line and not only took part of the civil rights marches but led them. He inspired others to follow because he made a personal commitment for his cause. The inspiration and the hope he gave was to all people not just one race. He gave people hope that one day that all people will be treated equally and be judged by their character. Martin Luther King was defiant as his home was bombed in 1956 and he continued with his dream showing his never give up attitude.

It was short, and promised to continue to goal of his first term, while not directly said, there was almost an apologetic tone regarding the war, a war, that was not wanted, but was necessary to secure change.

Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) and Cesar Chavez were both servant leaders who contributed immensely to their respective causes. MLK was born in January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia and was a civil rights activist (Carson Clayborn).

Their different views may have been rooted from the where they were raised. Martin Luther King Jr. grew up in a middle class family and received a very solid education.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is a name that is commonly recognized by a numerous amount of people from all over the country, or even all over the world. This African American man was seen by many citizens as the leader of the civil rights movement in the 1960’s because of a countless amount of things that he had done. Dr. King was a member of the NAACP (National Association for the advancement of Colored People), the president of the SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference) and the chairman of the Freedom Rides. Although, before all the achievements that he had acquired; he was only the son of a reverend and a teacher. Their names are Martin Luther King Sr., and Alberta Williams King.
Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. were both born 120 years apart. They were also killed ten days apart in the same month, years apart of course. Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. were one of the biggest influences on Slavery and Civil Rights. As well as being great leaders during their times. Both of these men were similar, but also had their differences.
Throughout the history of mankind, power has always been exercised on people as a way to suppress civil disobedience. Most of the time, resistance was and is still being produced as a backlash to the exercise of power. Foucault stated that: “Where there is power, there is resistance.” (1998:95) People have used different kinds of resistance to meet brutality such as acquiescence, physical violence and nonviolent resistance as stated by Martin Luther King in his article named “Three Ways of Meeting Oppression“.

Due to the way he carried himself the world has a new, positive perspective on blacks.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr is known for his strategy of nonviolent civil disobedience, which he used to advance the civil rights of black Americans who had been treated as second-class citizens for more than a century. King was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He was a man that persuaded people worldwide to follow him during the Civil Rights Movement. King was a very passionate, caring man. A great leader that pushed and motivated blacks to achieve equal rights for all.
The Man with a Dream Martin Luther King Jr. famously said, “I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” He was one of America’s most influential civil rights leaders to ever exist. He was very passionate about his progression of nonviolent protesting and raised plenty awareness towards the media of racial inequalities eventually working towards a significant change that would change the world forever. Martin Luther King Jr. positively affected the world by becoming the leader of the civil rights movement and bringing racial acceptance to the U.S. through nonviolent protest. King was very inspired by India’s revolutionary civil rights leader, Gandhi.
Martin Luther King Jr. helped us realize that segregation and poverty are wrong. He also helped us realize that we should treat people the same. No matter race, color, or gender. He has impacted our everyday lives with the Civil Rights Act and his “I Have a Dream…” speech. He is an important man with an important history.
Dr.King a Great Leader When you think of a good leader you think of someone who can influence and lead people. Good leaders do the right things for the people their leading and fight for whats right. Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. is a good leader because he fought for equal rights, he was a educated pastor, and he lead a movement that left behind a legacy that will be remembered forever. He played a very big role in ending segregation of African Americans in the U.S.(Biography, 2018).
As you may know, Martin Luther King was involved greatly in the Civil Rights Movement. He was the person to speak his mind and explain that what was happening was not right. African Americans marched to Washington DC, which was where he gave his "I Have a Dream" speech on August 28, 1963. This was called the Million Man March. He was a very brave man to do this because he knew that there would be consequences.
