Then and Now of The Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded in 1960 by the Lamar Hunt Family. The Chiefs were originally the Dallas Texans and were a part of the American Football League (AFL). The Texans won the AFL Champion in 1962 and shortly after that they were relocated to Kansas City, Missouri and were renamed to the Kansas City Chiefs. After they won the AFL championship for the second time in 1966, they merged into the National Football League (NFL). They then became a part of the American Football Conference (AFC) West division which had just been formed in 1960. Other teams such as the Broncos, Raiders and Chargers were a part of the AFC West division.

Why you want to coach, what drives you to take this role and what skills do you have to be successful at it. Secondly, be sure to build relationships with your players. Third, know how much knowledge do you have for this role, the more knowledge you have the more confident you can perform which then leads to a positive outcome. Have the right personality for this role, appropriate actions and behaviors are maintained and relate them to every situation. Reid’s main part of his coaching philosophy is letting his players express their feelings on and off the field. However, the Kansas City Chiefs don’t have a problem with bringing in fans so their number one priority is making their current fans happy. The Customer Relations Department for the Chiefs is very hands on with their fans and other customers. Arrowhead Stadium has many events throughout the year such as Kid’s Club Movie Night. This gives Arrowhead Stadium the chance to bring those who wouldn’t typically be around for their sporting events. Kids and families come together and bring in more revenue. The stadium has other events such as concerts and training camps. These events bring more demographics in and potential new fans.
