I am seeking admission to Kansas State University’s Masters of Science in Education Leadership. I am motivated to take this graduate degree because I care about children access to quality education, moreover, I want to be part of leaders creating positive environment for change, whilst addressing both the technical and adaptive challenges in the education sector at national and global arenas. The experience proliferated my knowledge on the role of leadership in making progress on the myriad challenges facing citizens. I believe leadership is pith to making development progress, more so in the education sector. Since my return to Kenya I have pioneered initiatives to foster caring, knowledgeable and ethical school leaders. For instance, I did peer consulting on October 12, 2017 with over 20 teachers in a bid to make progress on everyday challenges they face. I envisage to develop a leadership module for pre-service and in-service teachers in Kenya, and share with the Ministry of Education for adoption. This leadership module will challenge teachers on their greater leadership role in a bid to create a conducive learning environment for children.
