Kanye West
Kanye West is not only one of the best-selling artists in the world, selling 160 million records, but he has also been nominated for 75 Grammys. Kanye Omari West came from humble beginnings, living in the suburbs of Chicago, with a lower-middle-class background. He really wasn’t a big deal, producing songs for small local artists, and getting little to no recognition. That is, until, some small artist he was producing for named Jay-Z blew up. Jay then brought Kanye along with him to immediate fame. After his name became widely known, and he had already released an album or two. Kanye originally started as a producer but wanted to become more.
After getting rejected by several music labels for being “ill-fitted for the job”, he still felt that he was good enough and deserved a chance. “ I can't think of a particular example like that. But -that is something about being a trailblazer: you won't always take the right track. I'm not a psychic.”
He also performed his first single with his jaw wired shut, due to being in a near-fatal car crash. He fought for his place in the music industry; it was not given to him in the slightest.
He had such immense talent, he was considered a “genius” and an outstanding producer by Jay-Z.
A couple of reasons he was able to make it as an artist were his clever and witty lyrics, his futuristic flows, and his grade-A production.

Kanye West has had unbelievable Grammy success, which contributes to the fact he could be considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.
10 nominations in one year, including best new artist, best album, and best song.
The year he released Graduation, he led in nominations with 8, including album of the year for his latest work,
