Gay marriage is an import issue to debate. Although the congress approved a resolution about that topic, some people still think it cannot be accepted. Especially in many Asian countries and some countries in Europe, in their opinion, homosexuality is an illness, and Gay Marriage is absolutely illegal. However, in 1990, WHO (World Health Organization) eliminated the homosexuality illness out of the disease list. According to them, they said that it was the natural sexual desire, but some people cannot accept that. There are many discussions about gay marriage. While the topic about “Gay Marriage”, Charles Colson who wrote “Gay Marriage: societal suicide”, and Katha Pollitt , the author of “What’s Wrong with Gay Marriage” has some differences such as: the idea, word choices, and tone they wrote in. He wrote in his essay “Marriage is the traditional building block of human society”. He thinks that the families have enough fathers and mothers are a perfect family. The author has some statistics about boys who do not have farther beside them. “Sixty percent of rapists and 72% of adolescent murderers never knew or lived with their fathers”. Rape and murder are critical crime, and he chose those crimes to make people completely believe that Gay Marriage is a wrong issue. It causes so many problems in the future. He also said “Girls raised without father in the home are five times more likely to become mothers while still adolescent”. Either boys or girls, without father, they cannot be a kind person.
