Ken Windholz, is an accomplished psychology teacher who has spent many years teaching at Fort Hays State University. He has many degrees in psychology. His knowledge and wisdom reaches so far past what anyone could ever learn in a classroom. During Windholz’s presentation he was enthusiastic and was very eager to teach people about schizophrenia. This is what I learned: Schizophrenia is a mental disorder where the person interprets reality in an abnormal way. Over four million people all over the world are diagnosed with schizophrenia. This type of mental disorder is most commonly found in men than in females. All schizos will at some point reach a state of psychosis. When a person has schizo they normally suffer from delusions, muscle spasms, and reality that has been taken and worped in an unfashionable and socially unacceptable ways. There are three major types of schizophrenia . Disorganized is when a person has extreme difficulty with rationalization. Disorganized schizophrenia normally has uncontrollable anger and can not control their voice. Paranoid schizo is when a person has a fear of something or someone that is not rational. They also suffer from visions of excessive self power and they too have a major difficulty in controlling emotions and anger. A cationic is someone who is in a almost vegetable like state. they are unaware of the things that are happening around them and they are unable to use any part of their body until psychosis is over. People can also have more than one type of schizophrenia. This is called undifferentiated.
