Kendrick Lamar has become a generational icon, he has toured the entire world, inspired the youth in many ways, and he has been generously giving back to the streets that once gave and took from him. In Recent Years, Kendrick has released two platinum albums entitled “Good Kid, Maad City” which was his debut album, then his sophomore album that was entitled “To Pimp A Butterfly”. His most recent album covered many controversial topics including: the “Black Lives Matters” movement. He has also helped shed light on the violence that has occured on his native streets of “Compton”.

The following year, he released Section.80, his first independent album, exclusively through the internet. By that time, Lamar had created a huge fan base and had already worked with many well known artists in the hip hop industry, including Drake, The Game, Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes. In recent news, Kendrick‘s "How Much a Dollar Cost” was declared President Obama’s favorite song of 2015.

Kendrick is best known for his endless efforts in the community, he has written two platinum albums and he has recently been nominated for 11 grammys; making him the first american rapper to do so. He has also recently performed for our first black president “Barack Obama”.

In 2014, Kendrick was featured on fellow rapper Big Sean’s song entitled “Control”. In a very controversial verse, He called out many of his peers J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Tyler, the Creator and Mac Miller. This started a big industry controversy that made Kendrick one of the greatest rappers of all time.
