John F. Kennedy, also known as JFK, is perhaps the most-loved president in American history. Our 35th President of the United States served from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. Although he was young and did not get to serve his full term he accomplished many great things. All these documents embody the beginning of an admirable presidency and the commencement of a new hope for a nation gone forlorn. Kennedy served at the pinnacle of the Cold War and spent a large fragment of his presidency focusing on managing relations with the Soviet Union.
In the 1960s the Americans were looking for a President who could fix the issues that Eisenhower had caused. The people of the United States wanted a President that would bring the country together and unite them through an active but productive leadership position. The Democrats introduced a candidate to the United States that they hoped would bring the country the united nation that they had been longing for. John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s campaign promised the American people the “New Frontier.” Kennedy was able to get approval for tariff reductions and wanted to cut taxes so within time he could create prosperity through economic growth.

During the early 1960’s America faced a “rolling recession”, a recession that is focused on a few specific industries, which had hit the automobile industry particularly hard. The US gross national product was falling and so was the US economy and many Americans had fallen on hard times. On April 10, 1962, to make matters worse, the United States steel corporation executives had simultaneously raised the price on all steel by 3.5 percent. The rise in cost would ignite severe backlash among many Americans who saw the rise in price as a crippling blow the general prosperity of the United States. As a result President John F. John F. Kennedy was president between 1961 until his assassination in 1963. Some considered his presidency as a time of hope and prosperity. His wife, Jacqueline Kennedy, described the time during his presidency as “Camelot.” In fact, there were many similarities between Kennedy’s presidency and King Arthur’s Camelot.
In my opinion, I think John F. Kennedy was the best president that has been in office, even if he was only in it for a little more than 3 years. He came from a wealthy catholic family from Massachusetts, and came into office in 1960. One of the first things he did was strengthen the economy and created the New Deal strategy of deficit spending, first implemented during Franklin Roosevelt's presidency. He also convinced Congress to increase the minimum hourly wage to $1.25, and provided more than $400 million in aid distressed areas under the Area Redevelopment Act.

John F. Kennedy was seen as a force of change in the presidential election, and is considered one of the youngest presidents to ever be in office, and was a beacon of hope for many. He sounds a bit like King Arthur now, but as one looks even deeper, you can start to see the cracks in that comparison. According to

So ran for the president for the Democratic party. He was elected on November 08, 1960, becoming the 35th president of the United States of America.
In 1968, the United States was an extremely divided nation. It was divided among many issues from the ongoing Vietnam War, continual inner city riots, and the assassination Martin Luther King Jr., which led to federal troops actively patrolling American cities; something that hadn’t occurred since the Civil War. An election year promised to be a great one, but none of the presidential candidates recognized the nature of these incidents as wounds much less sought to heal them, with the exception of one man – Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Robert F. Kennedy was many things to many people, but to the American public he represented something that had been lost and forgotten; he represented hope. Crowds responded to him not because he was a Kennedy or because he was John F. Kennedy’s brother, though they undoubtedly may have helped, but because he ignited a passion that a better country was possible.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt could have done so much more to prevent the killing of 6 million jews. Even if that meant deciding that it would be best to drop the bomb on Auschwitz and kill 2,000 people. FDR thought about helping in various ways however, he never followed through. Agreeing with Beschloss, there was so much more FDR could have done to prevent the genocide or at least stop it once it had begun. FDR, along with most of the nation in World War II, focused on isolation but when it comes to the killing of such a mass amount of people, that is a time that it would be worth stepping in.
According to the JFK Library, our 35th president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was the first Catholic president, the youngest man to be elected as president and also the present who died the youngest. These factors may have all had an effect on his speeches, and could play a role in what makes him so memorable. He was recognized by many as young and charming, and as a president who would bring optimism and change to the country. John F. Kennedy was a well know person in the United States. He was America 's 35th President from January 20, 1961 to November 22, 1963. Sadly his life was cut short in a trip to Dallas, Texas. The gunman was later founded and arrested but never stood trial because he was later killed. FBI release that it was a lone gunman work but many people say that there was another person involved in another build.
John F. Kennedy, 35th president of the United States, is one of the most celebrated, looked up to, and idolized figures in history. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War 2, and earning several medals for bravery, he went on to become one of the most beloved president ever. His visions for America were inspiring. This event would be the first debate ever televised. The debate took place on the evening of September 26th in downtown Chicago. After Kennedy’s opening statement, Nixon stated, “I subscribe completely to the spirit that Senator Kennedy has expressed tonight” (The Kennedy-Nixon-Debates-U.S. Presidents-HISTORY.com). According to an online source, it is noted that Americans voted in record number that year after seeing the Great Debates on television.
