Egalitarianism is the trend of thought that favours equality for all people. In order to create an equal society, it is necessary for those more fortunate to give whatever is required to the less fortunate. The aim to create an equal society if taken literally would be unrealistic, as by mere nature people are unequal. In the sense that we have different heights, skin and personality. However, to create an equal society in the sense that people have the same laws, freedom and opportunities is more practical.
