Egalitarianism is the trend of thought that favours equality for all people. In order to create an equal society, it is necessary for those more fortunate to give whatever is required to the less fortunate. The aim to create an equal society if taken literally would be unrealistic, as by mere nature people are unequal. In the sense that we have different heights, skin and personality. However, to create an equal society in the sense that people have the same laws, freedom and opportunities is more practical. Wealth tends to create more wealth; expanding the gap between fortunate and unfortunate. Kenny Troutt and Howards Schultz are victims of this. Kenny Troutt was born into an unequal society. He did not have much and was the son of a bartender. He began his career selling life insurance and used these funds to finance is tuition at Southern Illinois University.
