From kindergarten to senior year, I have been preparing to make a decision on where I want to go to college. This decision for me has finally been narrowed down. I want to go to school where I can meet great friends, get a phenomenal education, and make some great memories. The major I would like to pursue in is offered at a fair amount of colleges, but these two stood out more than the rest. Although Kent State is a great university, I feel that I have a better chance of succeeding at Ohio University with all of the different programs and organizations they offer to all of their students. One of the things I love in life is sports, so I want to be able to get a job involving sports. Ohio University offers a major called Sports Business Administration. Basically this major deals with the whole business side of sports, such as marketing, being an agent, and numerous other things (“Ohio Majors”). Kent State offers a major that is similar to this but when I learned more information about both the majors I became a lot more interested in what Ohio had to offer than what Kent had to offer. When I went to Ohio I felt like their program was a lot more organized and it offered a lot more than what Kent could. I would be able to not only get a degree in Sports Business Administration but I could also get a second degree in marketing or accounting seeing that a lot of the classes are similar to each other in what I have to take for the degree. Another great thing about Ohio University’s business program is that it is ranked in the top 100 for college’s in the United States, in fact it is ranked 79th overall in the US, so that in itself is pretty impressive, while Kent State is not ranked at all in this poll system (“Bloomberg”). So over all I definitely think from an educational point of view that Ohio University would most definitely be the best choice for me. I believe that going to this University, I will have a better chance at success more
