The key to a successful 2015-2016 Kentucky Basketball season is recruiting. There are a million ways to compare teams. You can compare game stats; and you can compare records. But recruiting is the biggest indicator of a successful program.

Tradition is an extremely important part of College Basketball. No program embraces it more than Kentucky. The Wildcats celebrate their winning culture every day. Each championship is viewed equally. Every title has an important story. Good recruiting has remained consistent throughout the tradition.

Both players are thriving at the NBA level. They were able to transition from the college game. How did they join the college game? John Calipari recruited them. Coach Calipari is a recruiting genius.

Do you know how many Basketball programs want to be affiliated with Lebron James? Everyone wants an endorsement from the greatest player on the planet. But Kentucky is the only one that gets it. Ohio State is shown love but it’s on a smaller scale. James endorses the Wildcats because he has a relationship with Calipari. This relationship makes it easier for the school to recruit.

Your school could have the best facilities in the country; every student could graduate on time. Parents could spend crazy amounts of money to send their kids there. But none of it would matter if you couldn’t recruit.

Every Basketball program has the same goal. Win the championship every year. This goal is impossible without having top players. Kentucky features some of the top players every year. This year’s Basketball roster shouldn’t be any different. The Wildcats almost pulled off an undefeated season. In 2015-16 they will have another opportunity.
