The Kern County Fair is one of the most fascinating events that takes place in Bakersfield, California. One of the reasons why I chose to insight you on this location is because of its originality that has been around for many years. The enticingly delicious food and the thrilling rides are to die for. So many people look forward to this event every year. There are so many other things that the fair offers and I’m excited to tell you all about it. For starters, there are a variety of foods served at the Kern County Fair. Vendors serve mouthwatering food such as funnel cakes, cinnamon rolls, and BBQ Beef Ribs. My favorite of all is the funnel cake. Most people like to order their funnel cake with strawberry filling, however I do not. The funnel cake is already loaded with enough sugar so I like to top it off with whip cream. When the vendor hands you the funnel cake it is warm and fluffy. Once you take a bite out of it, it literally just melts in your mouth. Another favorite is the cinnamon roll because of its rich smell. Famous celebrities come to perform at the fair grounds every year. People like Ashanti, Joe Nichols, and The Beach Boys have all performed at the Kern County Fair. I was actually there when Joe Nichols performed last year. At the time I had no idea who he was and when I heard him sing I completely fell in love with his voice. The carnival games are really entertaining, especially if you are with a loved one. These booths are filled with huge stuffed animals and some even have live fishes as prizes.
