I have decided to look at the use of tablets in key stage one and how this impacts children’s learning. The aim of this research is to investigate the benefits and limitations of tablets to assist children in their education. Technology has become a very resourceful tool towards enhancing young children’s learning, also allowing practitioners the opportunity to learn how to use tablets as some practitioners may still prefer to teach the traditional way of using ‘chalkboard’s’. The government has proposed a new scheme in implementing technology in the National Curriculum. I will be referring to the Government’s policy ‘UK Digital Strategy 2017’ new initiative introducing ‘coding in the National Curriculum, from Key Stage One onwards’. To assist …show more content…
It will give an in-depth insight into the case study where children will be observed in their environment in relation to the research and grant me a deeper understanding into the project, Greetham (2014, p.192-193). I believe this will grant me a greater understanding as Cohen and Manion, et al (2007, p.219) state in which providing detailed understanding of attitudes, intentions and behaviours of participants in my research. I have decided to use this particular text as it looks at that the researcher needs to have a clear understanding of anything particular they would like to gain from this research. Also I shall be looking at research to interpret, examine and evaluate data analysis, for example discovering patterns in chosen methods, any themes arising and summarise while these are the features I aim to address. One of the limitations which could prevent me from my research could be during gathering information, which is often unavoidable in qualitative research as this can affect the children’s responses. According to Anderson (2010) the research quality is heavily dependent on the researcher and can become easily influenced by becoming bias when observing or conducting interviews which could limit me in my research. The reason why I have not chosen quantitative approach is because it involves numerical data for survey’s which I shall not be using as a part of my research, Bucker and Walliman
