According to AxleGeeks.com, “The Accord is 4.3% more fuel efficient than the Optima in the city. On the highway, it's just as efficient. Both vehicles use regular unleaded fuel. Assuming 15,000 miles driven and $3.50/gallon of regular gas, the Accord will cost about $1,810 to fill up for a year, and the Optima will cost about $1,875. The Accord will save you $65 per year, or $5.39 per month.” Based on the textual evidence it is clear to see that Honda Accord is more sufficient when it comes to saving money on gas. Although the Honda Accord is more fuel-efficient it has a fuel capacity of 17.2 as oppose to a Kia Optima’s fuel capacity of 18.5 therefore Kia has a better range and less stops at the gas station. For me being a broke college student I’d prefer the Honda Accord over the Kia when it comes to fuel efficiency, I commute from home twice a week so it is important for me to be able to keep my gas budget
