Ever since I came to Greensboro, I’ve heard people raving about Kickback Jack’s and how great the food is, especially the award winning chicken wings. Seeing ESPN report live from the Greensboro location during the Panthers vs. Cardinals play-off game was the last straw, I knew I had to go check out what all the hype was about. Kickback Jack’s is an entertainment sports bar with ten locations exclusively spread across North Carolina and Virginia. They pride themselves on their fun atmosphere, friendly service, and made-from-scratch menu items. Walking up to the building, my friend and I could already hear the upbeat music loud and clear due to the outside speakers, and the hostess was right there waiting to greet us with a smile on her face as soon as we walked through the door. The walls are covered with TV’s of various sizes, sports memorabilia and light up neon signs that give the restaurant your typical comfy sports bar feel. It’s a fun place to be and the food is pretty good for price. I don’t think the dirty table incident is big deal considering they were very packed at the time and after all, it is a casual dining experience. All of them employees were nice and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Our waitress was very polite and attentive, never faling to come check up on us every once in a while. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the fries. I’m guessing I just got unlucky with the last of the batch that was sitting out for a while and over salted. The wrap however, left me full and satisfied without that guilty, overly stuffed feeling you usually have leaving a sports bar, and the wings, of course, are to die for. They’re definitely what I’m going to be getting next time.
