Some, namely art critics regard conceptual art as the most sophisticated level of artistic thought, therefore, automatically qualifying it as a respectable means of expression. I respect this view immensely. But I do also believe that to consider one a great artist, his or her genius or giftedness must transcend into some sort of unambiguous, undeniable, above-average ability to visually interpret the natural world.
