While I was reading these tales of King Arthur, I saw many similarities that he had compared to other Kings. He was heroic, and brave to fight for his country, but why is he still talked about if his tales were just tales? I believe that this specific King is a known figure in history because of the impact he has made of the readers of his tales. The writer of the tales may have been narrating a story in their head or they could have seen the whole thing unfold. The only thing that readers can do now is to research the real Arthur, if there even is one. Kings are mighty and normally do not have this strong of an impact on people. I believe that the King Arthur tales have continually been told and recreated because he is a strong hero who is a political weapon and is magnified as the spirit of the Celtics. Arthur was used as a weapon for the politics of his origins. Some may say that he is a myth, but in Ireland and in the stories, he is more than just a fairy-tale. In a tale of Arthur, “Ambrosius, loved him much beyond the rest, And honour’d him”(“The Holy Grail”,192). He was an important King who was very valuable in the tale of “Gorlagros and Gawain”, King Arthur says, “I will bow my head to the sovereignty of any noble man, though never to the threats of any kind”(155).
