These previous couple months have been crazy for the Danish court. Following the tragic death of King Hamlet, the new king was almost immediately inducted and then married to the widow of the former king. Though when at the funeral there were many people in a depressed mood as they mourned the previous leader. Though the most distraught person attending was King Hamlets only son, the Prince Hamlet. During the viewing he was there to comfort his mother but showed little emotion as he was terribly surprised at the death of his father. It seemed he was almost in a state of madness as he glanced across the room at the new king and his uncle- Claudius. We saw a ghost and he felt as if he had to talk to it and refused to let us accompany him. It seemed as if he was still physically able after the conversation, but his mind was somewhere else. Ever since then he was either quite and mysterious or threatening someone with a knife to their necks. Though on that horrible day his death along with others it seemed clear. He spent his last words on me. He accepted his death. After finally killing Claudius and avenging his father he seemed almost at peace during his painful death. In one blow Hamlet took one point, and as tradition, the winner of the point should take a drink of wine. Unknown to everyone except Laertes and Claudius the wine was poisoned by Claudius and would kill Hamlet. Though Hamlet strangely refused the drink as he decided to keep fighting. Another point won by Hamlet and yet still no drink. That is when the courts world was turned upside down. Queen Gertrude stood up and took the drink for Hamlet. Looks of bewilderment came across the King and Laertes faces but nothing could be done. As Hamlet watched his mother for the last time Laertes took a swing and slit open a part of his arm, nothing lethal except for the later found poison on the end of his sword. Though before Hamlets poison could kick in he ad stabbed Laertes in the chest. Though when he looked back at the king and queen, Gertrude had fallen and died. In Laertes final breathes he squeezed out the words "It was the King." As Laertes passed into the unknown Hamlet in terrible rage killed the king, finally getting his revenge. Hamlet would sit down, his task of revenge accomplished, passed into the afterlife. These tragic events have left the Danish people wondering what's next. They will have to rebuild the court and who knows who that will be and when it will
