It’s a human nature that all parents really want the best for their children. They teach them from an early age until their last breath. Parents will send their children to schools, encourage them to go to university and gain more knowledge for their future. It is well known that education is really important especially in this urbanization era. Since knowledge is power and power is something that is really hard to come by, knowledge that was gained was very precious. Knowledge and education are both important and typically in public education, success is measured in term of good exam scores. Careful investigation and documentation of student work and behaviours is more helpful and is a better method of evaluating student progress rather than a one-time test (How Standardized Testing Damages Education, 2007). Nevertheless, such tests are designed to measure the knowledge and skills that student has acquired in school. As they get their result, student can compare it for his better performances in the future. Yet, the outcome in “fluid intelligence”, which are the ability to resolve abstract problems and think logically such as working memory capacity and speed of information processing; is not as high as their test scores in schools whose students have the highest gains on their test scores (Trafton, 2013). As many people said that student with good memory be able to pass examinations and achieved outstanding results, but it should be realized that as for today, the syllabuses are so wide-ranging that a student cannot expect to pass the examination by depending solely on his memory. Thus, to improve the observation on student’s skill, cognitive tests also need to be applied in class.
