Heros’ come in many shapes and forms. Tall, short, small, big, anyone can be a hero, they just have to put in the effort. Though anyone can be a good hero, a great hero is somebody who inspires others, makes a difference, and is selfless. First and foremost, a great hero must be someone who inspires others. Ida B. I think Jim Thorpe was a leader and a hero. Jim Thorpe was born may 28, 1887, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, a member of the Sac and Fox Nation. To me, a hero is someone who is admirable and does good things but isn't perfect. Ruby Bridges is a hero because she helped desegregate schools so all skin colors can go to any school and receive the same education as white people instead of only getting taught certain things. She managed to do it even when she had almost nobody supporting her and even with multiple people saying bad words and traumatizing her she still managed to carry out her idea and desegregate
That NBA draft Kobe was drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats, but then traded to the LA Lakers. In Kobe’s basketball career he went on to win 5 NBA Championships, 1 MVP award, NBA All-Rookie Team, 3 time All-NBA team, 3 time All-defensive Team, 2 time NBA finals MVP, 3 time NBA All-star game MVP, and the defensive player of the year. Heroism in our culture could be very misinterpreted. People tend to think that hero’s need to be perfect because they are role models, saviors, or peacemakers. An example of a hero for me is Josh Hamilton, an outfielder for the Texas Rangers. Josh Hamilton started out as a power hitting prospect for the Tampa Bay Rays but struggled with addictions to drugs. He spent a short stint for the Reds before the Texas Rangers picked him up.
These traits are shown by Genghis Khan, Choi Yuna, my brother, and Odysseus. The fact that Odysseus and heroes in the modern age share the same traits proves how important they are for being a hero. In addition, every hero should be able to protect others out of kindness and for a cause they believe in. Without heroes, society would continue to make the same mistakes. As role models, they push society in the right direction and assist people in decision
While we may often look up to celebrities such as Kylie Jenner and Kin Kardashian, real heroes exhibit more selfless qualities that reach beyond that of a self-fulfilling celebrity. In many ways, real heroes stand strong with their beliefs possess confidence and patience. Furthermore, real heroes are persistent, devoted and most of all real heroes are revolutionary and break boundaries. As a matter of fact, Jackie Robinson is one of my personal heroes because he set in motion the change of boundaries for major league sports. Further, he is a hero who was born to start a revolution in the major league sports industry.
Have you ever thought the power people have over each other? Either race, social class, or gender. Although your gender, race, or social class is not as important as it used to be, it is still used to determine the power of people in some places. Mayella Ewell is the daughter of Bob Ewell , they come from a family of low social class with no education, and no money. The only thing that elevates their place in the community is the fact that they’re white.
Jackie Robinson In my opinion I think a hero is a person that changes lives forever. My hero is Jackie Robinson because he is the first African American baseball player, first African American to win NL MVP, and the first African American to have his number retired. The first reason I think Jackie Robinson is a hero because he was the first African American to play baseball.
Beowulf was honorable throughout this epic story. Beowulf was strong, smart, one whom the town was looked up to. When he killed Grendal, the townsfolk were happy and relieved. My idea of a hero is a strong, intelligent, honorable man who opts for the correct path in all he does.
In the end, a hero is more than just physical traits like strength and supernatural powers. Being a hero means being selfless, brave and putting other people before yourself. Victor best fit this description because he sacrificed years of his life, and even his own life knowing it would benefit the rest of the world. The determination, braveness, courage and devotion Victor had for a single experiment that could go wrong is true heroism.
