Eulogy for Kobe Bryant Kobe Bryant, professional basketball player and pro athlete tragically passed away on January 26, 2020. The incident occurred on a foggy day when Kobe agreed to take his daughter, Gigi, on a helicopter ride to her game. Kobe, who didn’t know any better, decided to take flight in extremely dangerous conditions. Both Kobe, and his daughter Gigi, will both be remembered throughout the NBA and the world. Kobe Bryant truly is an amazing basketball player. He showed compassion, and dedication to the game of basketball and impacted everybody around him. In fact, he was so dedicated, teammates quote, that he showed up to practice before anyone else around him. He impacted so many people and influenced the game of basketball, pushing athletes to train harder than ever before. His work ethic showed how hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard. Throughout his struggles, Kobe always stayed true to his heart. Even off the court, Kobe shows how inspiring he is. Kobe’s competitive aura on the court even changed the game of basketball, he quoted, "I think the All-Star game in general needs a little revamping because it used to be competitive. They want to see what happens when you put the best collection of basketball players on the planet.” Although the NBA All-Star Game is fun, over the years it has become slightly more competitive.
