Kobe Bryant Research Paper Kobe Bryant is an influential person because he was a great basketball player with a great work ethic which lead him to make a lot of money. He gives some to charity and invest in some companies.
Early Life
Kobe Bean Bryant was born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (source 1). Kobe Bean Bryant was named after a Japanese steakhouse and also after his dad, Joe Jellybean Bryant (source 1). He also had two older sisters named Shaya and Sharia. Which always gave him competition they also played soccer and basketball and they also excelled at sports (source 4). In 1984 his dad retired from the NBA and moved the family to Italy where his dad played in the Italian League. Growing up in Italy with Shaya and Sharia, Kobe played both basketball and soccer (source 1). Bryant lived in Italy for eight years while his father played in the Italian Professional Basketball League. He speaks Italian and English (source 5). In 1991, his family went back to Philadelphia and Kobe went to Lower Merion High School. and became a star he was ranked the best high school player (Source 4). He won Lower Merion High School a state championship after fifty-three years of not winning one (source 4). He had good grades and high SAT scores but Kobe decided to go straight to the NBA from high school (source 1).
