logical disorders, also classified as mental disorders, are when the brain contains abnormalities of the mind which can lead to persistent behavioral patterns. These patterns can affect a person’s daily function. There are many different types of psychological disorders that exist such as mood disorders, personality disorders and eating disorders. In fact, a person can have more than one disorder. The causes of these disorders range from many different aspects of life. This includes stress, childhood experiences, influences in the brain, illness and heredity. By better understanding the disorder humans can better treat it by forms of therapy or medication. In fact, she has been with a company for over six years and the company is doing very well. Some of the problems or symptoms Kristen has is worrying constantly about losing her job and being unable to provide for her children. The worrying is so severe that it has lasted for over eight months and no matter how hard she tries, she has not been able to shake the negative thoughts. Because of this worrying, Kristen has been restless, tired and tense. Kristen has also had several embarrassing moments like when she loses track of what she is saying in meetings and at night she even rehearses what she plans on doing if she loses her job and ends up homeless. All these symptoms lead to the diagnosis that Kristen may have generalized anxiety disorder. Generalized anxiety disorder is a psychological disorder where a person has excessive anxiety about different aspects of life such as family, financial matters, and work. A person with GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) very much anticipate disaster and become overly concerned with it. For example, Kristen worries about losing her job and being homeless and even rehearses scenarios in her head. Psychodynamic therapy is a form of deep psychology and its main focus is to reveal the unconscious quantity of a person’s psyche in order to ease the physic tension. Psychodynamic therapists help people understand their current symptoms and focus on themes across childhood experiences, relationships and more. In this form of therapy, it is one on one and face to face and takes place once or twice a week. For Kristen, the therapist and she would sit face to face and would discuss her childhood and some of her relationships. The therapist would most likely try and look for an event that took place during her childhood or adult years that could cause this anxiety. It is important for Kristen to attend psychodynamic therapy because it will help her cope with the stress, make sense of past traumatic experiences, identify triggers that may worsen her symptoms and most importantly develop a plan for coping with this
