Kurt Cobain's Suicide

Kurt Cobain, musician and leader of the grunge band Nirvana, was born Hoquiam, Washington on February 20, 1967, but grew up in Aberdeen, Washington. Kurt and his friend, Krist Novoselic, formed Nirvana in 1987. Cobain played the guitar and Novoselic played the bass, they added a drummer and bassist and recorded their first album, Bleach, in 1989. This album’s success led to many others including Nevermind (1991), Incesticide (1992) and, In Utero (1993). He met Courtney Love, a member of the rock band Hole, and married her in 1992. Cobain and Love both used drugs so this led to a custody for their baby girl, Frances Bean, after she was born in 1992. Cobain struggled with depression and drug use ever since high school. On April 5, 1995, Kurt Cobain allegedly shot and killed himself with a shotgun in his greenhouse. Many people believe Kurt Cobain committed suicide due to a history of depression, but conspiracy theorists say it could have been his wife, Courtney Love, or she hired someone to kill Cobain for her.

Around the time of Cobain’s death, he was supposed to get a divorce with his wife, Courtney Love. Their marriage was full of drug use and they would always have arguments. Sometimes they’d get so bad that the police had to get involved and on one incident they confiscated Cobain’s guns. In a documentary made after Cobain’s death, a hitman came forward and told the documentary makers about how Courtney Love paid him money to kill Kurt Cobain. Another theory suggests that Courtney and their nanny, for Frances Bean, made up a plan to kill Cobain or have someone kill him which would explain the hitman allegedly hired by Courtney
