Kurt Vonnegut is no different as his youth was full of character-building experiences and lessons. Vonnegut grew up in a wealthy household as his mother Edith Lieber was an inheritance of the Lieber fortune (Tomedi 4). Kurt began writing in his school paper when he was young (Mustazza 505).
