Kurzweil Education System offers literacy support for students with disabilities (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Blindness and Vision Impairment or other disabilities and impairments) and students who are English language Learners. Reading is a very important part of life and difficulty with reading, writing, and comprehension affects all areas of academics. Kurzweil education systems provide assistive technology tools which help learners unlock their own unique potential. The goal is to provide every student with the opportunity for academic achievement and success. Kurzweil products are Kurzweil 1000, Kurzweil 3000, and Kurzweil 3000+ Firefly. These tools help students with text to speech, writing, scanning or highlighting text features. Kurzweil 1000 makes printed or electronic text accessible to people with blindness and visual impairments.
