People may think that no kind of vampire should get scared of anything, but this was Kyler’s first day of school, and he could hardly keep it together. His summer had been filled with many books, but not in the way you may think. On one sunny, summer day, a mysterious person came into Kyler’s father’s store and changed his life forever. One day he was an average twelve year old and the next he was a sharp toothed, ink drinking vampire! As Kyler stood on the front steps of Gravitt Middle School, he couldn’t help but wish he was still in elementary where he had no worries in the world. During lunch, he sat and watched as the other kids ate their lunches and talked to all of their friends. Kyler may not have made any friends, but his day was still a lot better than he expected it to be. Kyler’s first few weeks of school were great and things were about to get even better. On the fourth week of school, a new student named Blaine Rice moved in next door. Kyler didn’t know much about Blaine, so he decided to introduce himself. Kyler and Blaine immediately hit it off. They were both fans of basketball, so every day after school they would play a game before hanging out at each others houses. Even though they were best friends, Kyler wouldn’t dare to tell Blaine his secret. In the school, Kyler had a secret hiding spot where he would drink the ink out of as many books as he could before he had to go to his next class. One day, Blaine saw Kyler go towards the library in between classes and decided to go with him. As Kyler made his way to his hiding spot, Blaine followed him. When Blaine reached Kyler’s hiding spot, he saw something gruesome. Kyler had a straw in his mouth drinking out of a large book. When Kyler saw Blaine, he immediately jumped up and threw the book to the ground and wiped his face. He could not just tell Blaine that it was chocolate because Blaine had been standing there watching
