Have you ever wondered how people can freely start their own business? The idea of this is called free enterprise. Free enterprise is the freedom of private businesses to organize and operate for profit in a competitive system without interference by government beyond regulation necessary to protect public interest and keep the national economy in balance. One entrepreneur who has used the free enterprise system to gain success is Kylie Jenner. Kylie Jenner recently started her own cosmetics line called Kylie Cosmetics. Her business started off with just making lipsticks but gradually as her business grew she started putting out different products. She has used the free enterprise system to compete with other businesses and tremendously grow her cosmetics line. Free enterprise has been a big role in her success because without that system she would not be able to run her business as she pleases and create her own business and economic decisions. Kylie uses many business tactics that she creates in order to keep her business making profit. "The popularity behind Jenner's products also stems from the limited number of products she makes available during each launch, which almost inevitably sell out each time." (Mejia) This is an economic decision that Kylie makes by herself. Due to making her products scarce, there is a higher demand for them which is why they are quite expensive as well. By doing this she is able to make profit off of her products. In a free enterprise system you can also launch your products online. This is a big tactic for Kylie. Her cosmetic line is based off her online shop called KylieCosmetics.com, which means people can easily go on her website and purchase the makeup that they want. Although her business is run mostly off of her online shop, she also makes the economic decision of releasing pop up shops. A pop up shop is a retail store that is opened temporarily to take advantage of a trend or a seasonal product. By creating a pop up shop she has to spend money on rent
